Warranty + FAQ

Are your warranties transferreble?

No, if you did not purchase watches directly from us, you will not be entitled to any warranty request. This is because we cannot be sure of the condition that the watches were sold to you, and that they were not tempered with.

However, all watches that are sold used can be returned to us, checked and registered in our system for an additional 1 year limited warranty for USD100. This is to allow us to continue servicing our customers who purchase our watches used.

If watches are purchased as gifts, they need to be registered as such during the purchasing process so that the warranty is registered with the eventual owner.

How do we view your watches physically?

If you are in Singapore, you can arrange a time to come to our office to view the watches before deciding on your purchase. We are predominantly an online business, so are not active in trying to distribute our watches to physical shops. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide a more personalised service to all. We try to take as many photographs of the actual watches and describe them as best we can to give a more complete description of it so that physical viewing may not be necessary. Normally, the term “The watches look better in person than in photographs” is not uncommon to describe our watches.

How much are your watches and what currency can I make payment in?

International orders are charged in US Dollars. Local orders are charged in Singapore Dollars (SGD). We try our best to keep both prices consistent. If you are buying from a country other than the US, paypal will automatically calculate the exchange rate. This is because our account is in US Dollars.

How old is moVas watches?

The moVas brand started in 2008. The original meaning of moVas was a play on MOVments of ASia. All the original designs used Asian made movements. The slogan at present is horologica architectura which gives a hint to the origins of the designs which are heavily influenced by the designers’ background in architecture. Most cases and dials use multiple construction layers that are built up and articulated.

What happens to parcels lost in transit?

Increasingly due to lax postal administration, unreliability of certain country’s postal/ customs our watches are sometimes ‘misplaced’ and stolen.  In the event of a lost parcel, we will get in contact with the courier first and try to resolve the issue.

How long does it take for watches to arrive?

Singapore Post Registered Mail or Parcel Post takes approximately 1 week for items to arrive. Naturally countries closer take a little shorter, but based on our experience it has generally taken this long. If you are dying to receive the watches, or are purchasing it for an event, we also offer other faster services, EMS Express/ UPS Express but they cost more, so please contact us to get a quotation. Generally these services take about 2-4 working days.
Why do you not have a shopping cart, so how do I place an order?
We try to keep things simple and personal here. So we rather be communicating with our customers directly as opposed to having them just click a button. At the end of the day, although we may be on the other side of the world, we are all still human (okay, some of us are cyborgs, we saw that in Blade Rubber :)) and we do like to have a feel for who buys our watches. Follow the instructions on the pages and send us an e-mail stating what you wish to purchase and we will go from there.

Where are your watches made?

All parts are made in different parts of the world, but predominantly in china. For example, our glass are made in usa, rubber straps in Malaysia and movements in china. Assembly and testing is done in Singapore, which is where our watches are shipped from.
